Terms and Conditions for the Hi-Tec “Let us inspire you this summer” Promotion.

These Terms and Conditions were last amended: 3 November 2017.

​

The Promotion commences 6 November 2017 and ends 20 November 2017 in South Africa.

Entrants

  • Any person participating in this promotion (“Promotion”) does so on acceptance of these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”).

  • Hi-Tec is referred to as the “Promoter” in respect of the Promotion for the purposes of these Terms and Conditions.

  • The Promotion will run until 20 November 2017 after which date the Promotion will automatically lapse.

  • This Promotion is open to all persons of the age 18 years or older, except the employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, Promoter’ advertising and promotion agencies, associated companies, and outlet owners/managers and staff.

  • By entering this competition, entrants automatically opt in to receive communication from the Promoter.

 

Voucher Rewards

  • Each person who produces a valid promotional Hi-Tec Discount Voucher Code will be entitled to receive a 20% discount on any full-priced items purchased at a Hi-Tec Concept Store during the promotional period.

  • Discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, special or offer.

  • Discount Vouchers are valid until 20 November 2017.

  • Discount Vouchers are only valid in-store at the following Hi-Tec Concept Stores:

    • Hi-Tec Stellenbosch Shop, De Wet Centre, 14 Church Street, Stellenbosch

    • Hi-Tec Kolonnade Shopping Centre, Montana Park, Pretoria

    • Hi-Tec East Point Shopping Centre, Corner Northrand & Rietfontein Roads, Jansen Park, Boksburg

    • Hi-Tec Cornubia Shopping Mall, Corner Dube Street & Cornubia Boulevard, Cornubia, Umhlanga, Durban

Promotion

  • In order to receive a Discount Code to get a 20% discount on a Hi-Tec purchase at a Hi-Tec Concept Store during the promotional period participants need to:

A) Click on a promotional digital banner advertisement and complete and submit the form on the landing page with all the relevant details.

B) Click on a promotional post on Facebook and complete and submit the form on the landing page with all the relevant details.

C) Scan the QR code on promotional material (displayed in a Hi-Tec Concept Store) and complete and submit the form on the landing page with all the relevant details.

  • Only one discount code can be redeemed per purchase.

  • Discount is only valid on full priced items and will not be applied to any items that are already on sale.

  • If the purchased goods are returned, the value of credit will be the original price of the purchased items minus 20%. Proof of purchase must be supplied.

 

General Terms

Without detracting in any way from the Promotion Terms and Conditions, the following general provisions shall be applicable:

  • The Promoter of this Promotion will interpret the Terms and Conditions in their sole discretion and the Promoter reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time in accordance with the provisions contained herein.

  • The Promoter will publish any changes to these Terms and Conditions on www.hi-tec.co.za.

  • For convenience only, the date on which these Terms and Conditions were last amended is shown above.

  • It is each Participant’s responsibility to check the websites for amendments to these Terms and Conditions.

  • By participating in the Promotion, participants agree that the Promoter may collect and process their personal information for purposes of this Promotion.

  • Information collected from Participants will be used by the Promoter only and will not in any way be transferred or made available to third parties.

  • In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Promoter will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. In this regard, and for further clarity, the Promoter shall be entitled to deal with such disputes (or any failure by participants to follow the Terms and Conditions) in their sole discretion, including that the Promoter shall be entitled, in addition to any other rights which the Promoter may have in terms of these rules, to immediately disqualify participants from this Promotion.

  • By participating in the Promotion the participants hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless the Promoter (including their subsidiaries, holding companies and affiliates), their directors, employees, agents, suppliers and contractors (the “Promoter’s parties”) from and against any actions, claims and/or liability for injury, loss, damage, expense, claim or damages of any kind resulting in whole, or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Promotion, and/or the acceptance of a discount reward.

  • The Promoter will not be held liable for any harm or consequential loss as a result of use of the reward.

  • The right of admission into the promotion rests solely with the Promoter.

  • Participants who, in the Promoter’s sole determination, act unlawfully, fraudulently, in breach of these Terms and Conditions, or otherwise dishonestly, may be disqualified from participating in the Promotion and shall not be eligible to redeem a discount.

  • Additional to any other rights contained in the Promotion Terms and Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to terminate the Promotion at any time with immediate effect. If this is the case, the Promoter will provide a notice on their website and it shall be the responsibility of participants to review such website in this respect. In such event, all participants hereby waive any rights, which they may have against any of the organiser parties and acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature against the organiser parties.

  • The duration of this Promotion may also be extended or curtailed at the sole discretion of the Promoter. If this is the case, the Promoter will provide notice of this on the website.

 

Exclusions and Other Important Terms

  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the Participant or the Promoter in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (“CPA”).

  • The clauses in these terms and conditions are severable. This means that if any clause in these terms and conditions is found to be unlawful, it will be removed and the remaining clauses will still apply.

  • Wherever time has been referred to in these terms and conditions, it refers to GMT +2.

  • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
