• Motor glass replacement guarantee

• Automotive safety film warranty, and

• Building glass (SmartGlass) guarantee.

 

Motor glass replacement guarantee

National guarantee
 

Replace your windscreen at a Glasfit fitment centre and the guarantee on the workmanship is valid at any fitment centre nationwide. 

• Fitment (workmanship)
  Glasfit offers a 12-month national guarantee on the fitment of a windscreen provided that it has not been tampered with as this renders the guarantee null and void

• The workmanship guarantee covers leaks, whistling and wind noises.

• Manufacturer’s product warranty on motor glass

  • Shatterprufe® offers a lifetime warranty on bubbling and delamination, and a three year quality guarantee against manufacturing defects on Shatterprufe®windscreens and Armourplate® side and rear glass

  • Safevue offers a lifetime product warranty, which covers delamination and bubbling

  • Original Equipment glass (agent’s glass from a vehicle dealer) is subject to the guarantee provided by the respective dealer

  • Benson offers a warranty, which covers delamination and bubbling

  • All warranties ensure that the motor glass is durable, fit for purpose and compliant with vehicle manufacturer specifications.
     

• Your original invoice serves as the guarantee and is required for any claim

• Guarantees are valid for the vehicle owner and are not transferrable on sale or transfer of ownership, and

• The guarantee excludes rust, UV damage, and wear and tear.

 

Automotive safety film warranty

The Glasfit fitment centre which performs an installation warrants the automotive film for 5 years commencing from date of installation.  

This warranty policy ensures that: 

• The automotive film complies with the manufacturer’s specification

• The automotive film maintains its properties without crazing, cracking, peeling, blistering, bubbling or delaminating from the glass.

This warranty does not cover fitness for purpose, suitability of product or installation method, compliance with laws, and safety considerations, aesthetic properties or defects, which are not visible from over 3m in a normal viewing position and under normal light conditions.  

The obligation of the Glasfit fitment centre under this warranty is limited to the replacement of the product which does not conform to this warranty, and excludes any liability for consequential loss, indirect damage, loss of use of vehicle and the like as a result of a defect in the product. A proof of purchase is required to substantiate any warranty claim.

  

Building glass (SmartGlass) guarantee

This entitles you to a 12-month guarantee against a faulty installation (workmanship) or a manufacturing defect in the product.  

Important information
 

Request the correctly completed guarantee and store it in a safe place. The reference number and the signed SmartGlass Guarantee are necessary to validate a claim under the guarantee scheme.
